Student Road Safety Awards Aim to Make British Roads Safer
In 1992, a teenager out with his friends died in Coventry when the driver of the vehicle he was in lost control and the automobile crashed into a tree. Now, all these years later, his father is still honoring his memory. He campaigned for years for better road safety and it has finally paid off. The British government is supporting the first ever Student Road Safety Awards. These awards will go to those persons between 11 and 18 years of age who come up with the best ideas on how to make the roads safer for everyone. The grieving father hopes that this will help cut down senseless deaths.
