Students Learn About Distracted Driving at Sonoma Raceway
Students from high schools and colleges across the state got to test out how skillful they were while texting behind the wheel at the Sonoma Raceway. Basic things like lane changes were evaluated by an instructor who rode with the texting student. In addition to trying to text, students were tasked with driving while fiddling with the air conditioner or the car’s radio. Numerous students hit cones that were positioned along the track, and each was given a grade at the end of the activity.
