Tennessee’s Rutherford County Endangered by Cellphone Drivers

Rutherford County is the fifth most dangerous area to talk on the phone and drive at the same time in the state of Tennessee. There have been at least 300 cellphone-related motor vehicle accidents in the area since 1993, although that number is probably much higher. The number of people who admit to regularly being on their phone and driving simultaneously hovers around 25%, according to the CDC.   A Murfreesboro police official urges all drivers to refrain from the dangerous practice.
