The police in Medina, Ohio are ready to enforce a new texting and driving ban and are telling drivers to put down the phone so that they won’t be pulled over or placed in danger. The law can only be enforced as a secondary offense, meaning another moving violation needs to occur for the police to pull a driver over for it. Many are calling this a needed measure, as distracted driving such as texting is a major factor in many accidents and deaths on the road.
