The effects of the Gills Onion recall are being felt yet again, this time in Southern states such as Virginia, Georgia, Florida, North and South Carolina, and Tennessee.  The Atlanta-based Simmering Soup announced this latest recall, which affects Trader Joe’s brand 16 ounce mild salsa with a use by date of August 9 and eight ounce balela with a use by date of July 31.  A Listeria monocytogenes threat is once again to blame for the recall.  Customers have the option of destroying the food or returning it for a refund.
