Villa Rica Council Says Distracted Driving Proposal Is Too Strict
The City Council of Villa Rica, Georgia recently struck down a proposal that would have made distracted driving illegal. The ban would have made just about everything except keeping two hands on the wheel against the law. Opponents said that the law would be hard to enforce and unnecessarily strict in comparison to the state ordinance already in place. One additional concern was how to address visitors simply driving through Villa Rica who would be unaware of the tougher driving laws.
