WorkStar and DuraStar Trucks Recalled Over Seat Separation Threat
International WorkStar and DuraStar commercial trucks of the 2012 model year have been recalled by Navistar. Five vehicles containing a 7 degree passenger seat could suffer from an issue wherein the front passenger seat can be dislodged from the mounting rails. These conditions reportedly transpired as the vehicles were undergoing testing. If the issue were to occur in a real-world crash situation, the passenger would face an increased injury risk because of the potential of the seat to separate from the rails. Owners will receive word of the issue from Navistar by December 17, and free repairs will be offered to those persons.
